Refunds and Cancellation

Paid-plan policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

At a Glance

This policy sets out the cancellation and voluntary refund rules for paid Guestlist subscriptions and Gig Passes when offered. Paid plans are not currently on sale. Creating a BeatScroll account does not start a paid subscription.

  • Guestlist: cancel at any time to stop renewal at the end of the current paid month.
  • Gig Pass: request a full refund before the scheduled start. A pass does not renew automatically.
  • Material BeatScroll outage: for a qualifying failure during a Gig Pass, choose a full refund or a replacement pass.

Your statutory rights, including withdrawal and remedies for a defective service, are additional to these voluntary rules. See the withdrawal instructions and Product Terms.

Guestlist: Cancellation and Remaining Access

A Guestlist subscription renews monthly until cancelled. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month: access continues until then, and the subscription does not renew for a further month. You do not need to give a reason. Cancellation will be available through our billing provider when paid plans launch. See subscription management for availability.

Cancelling renewal does not itself refund the current period. There is generally no voluntary prorated refund for an unused part of a paid month, including where you stop using the app. Mandatory rights, remedies for a confirmed defect, and any express refund commitment remain unaffected. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Gig Pass: Refund Before the Start

A Gig Pass provides one scheduled 48-hour access period. For a voluntary full refund, send a request before its scheduled start to the seller identified on your receipt, or contact BeatScroll at the address below. Include enough information to identify the purchase. The time the request is received determines whether it was made before the start; a later processing date does not take away eligibility.

After the scheduled start, a change of plans or non-use does not qualify for this voluntary pre-start refund. The pass ends automatically after its 48-hour period, so no renewal cancellation is needed. The outage remedy below and your statutory rights still apply.

Gig Pass: Material Service Outages

If a verifiable material outage caused by BeatScroll prevents essential use of the service during the pass's 48-hour period, you may choose a full refund or a replacement pass. To use this voluntary remedy, report the outage within 14 days after the scheduled start. Tell us the event, scheduled start and timezone, when the failure occurred, and what was affected. Relevant error messages or screenshots can help us investigate; please omit guests' personal information wherever possible.

This voluntary remedy covers failures attributable to BeatScroll, rather than a change of event plans or a problem solely with your internet connection, equipment, or setup. The reporting period and these limits apply only to this voluntary offer; they do not restrict statutory claims or their time limits.

How to Request a Refund

The seller or Merchant of Record named at checkout and on your receipt handles payment refunds. You can contact that seller directly or email [email protected] for help with a BeatScroll purchase. Please include:

  • the email address associated with the purchase;
  • the plan and order or invoice reference, if available;
  • for a Gig Pass, the scheduled start and timezone;
  • the refund you are requesting and the relevant circumstances.

Do not send passwords, app credentials, or full card details. If we need more information to identify a purchase or investigate a failure, we will ask for it. Opening an email link only prepares an email; you still need to send it.

Refund Processing

We will explain the outcome and any next steps by email. Acknowledging a request is not confirmation that a refund has been approved or paid. Refunds generally return to the original payment method; bank and card settlement times can vary. Any mandatory refund deadline, including the deadline following a valid statutory withdrawal, takes precedence over ordinary processing times.
